She received her B.A. in cinema at the D.A.M.S (University of Bologna) and D.E.A (University of Paris VII-Denis Diderot), with a dissertation on the debate on equality/difference in the Italian feminisms of the 1970s.
She is the co-founder of InteRGRace (Interdisciplinary Group on Race and Racisms, www.intergrace.it), and she is in the Editorial Board of Zapruder, Rivista di storia della conflittualità sociale.
She published in national and international journals and co-authored several books. Among her publications: La straniera. Currently she is working on Italian colonial memory and the articulation of the categories of gender, race and whiteness and her recent publications include “Relazioni pericolose.
